Most of the characters, props, martial arts, and scenes from the comic, "Dragon Tiger Gate," are included in the 3D game, "Dragon Tiger Gate Online." Players can use over one hundred martial art moves to fight with their opponents. Players learn these skills through constant dueling, obtaining bonus points in the process. In addition, various props and skills can be purchased for training and growth of the character. The traditional form of rigid table-fighting has been abandoned for an exciting new platform. Updated battle scenes, dynamic sound effects and realistic lighting will increase the level of fun for players.
Game background
"Dragon Tiger Gate" originated from the mind of Hong Kong comic master Tony Wong. The characters are Tiger Wang, Little Dragon Wang and Black Dragon Shi. Tiger Wang joined the "Bun Mountain" contest on Cheung Chau Island but found that the contest was flawed. He was enraged by the sight of other contestants cheating; he defeated all of them to win the gold metal hidden at the top of the mountain. The medal, however, was meant for Shinbumi, the lord of the notorious and legendary Japanese underground empire, Luosha Gate. Because Tiger won the medal, he was attacked by the gang but was rescued by Little Dragon who was a former member of the gang. Later in the saga the two find out that they are in fact half brothers and with the help of Black Dragon, establish a martial arts academy, Dragon Tiger Gate, to fight organized crime. The final showdown between good and evil is a spectacular battle that shakes the walls of Dragon Tiger Gate.
Drawing-Card System : The drawing-card system is the most characteristic feature of this game. Players can draw cards similarly to a prize drawing which increases excitement. When a player draws a high-level card, the NPC will send an instantaneous greeting message to the player informing him of his upgrade. Special cards can be collected and used for fighting within the game.
Trading System : Players can trade freely and flexibly. Trading modes such as bidding and one price can be used to increase interactivity between players.
Video-Recording System : Players can record their own matches through this system, which is similar to the video recording system in the game "World of Warcraft." Players can watch and learn from these video recordings and can share them through the internet by uploading and downloading right on the game site.
Gang-Forming System : Players can form their own gangs. Gang matches can be held to enhance game play for players. The large gang organization will develop into a player-interactive system.
Match System : Players can join all official competitions and have the ability to hold any type of matches like League, Cup, Champion and PK matches. Players are ranked and can win special prizes. Gang lords can also hold their own matches in order for their members to train and become better. These matches will help to increase competition and fun for our gamers.

Movie : "Dragon Tiger Gate," the movie, is based on the comic and stars kung fu hero Donnie Yen, Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yu. It was released on July 28, 2006.
